Mission Statement
The Marine Corps League promotes the interest and preserves traditions of the United States Marine Corps; strengthens the fraternity of Marines and their families; serves Marines and FMF Navy Personnel who wear or have worn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor; and fosters the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.

Today in Marine Corps history:
August 24, 1942 - Captain Marion E. Carl achieved ace status during the Guadalcanal Campaign. Flying a Grumman F4F Wildcat from Henderson Field, he shot down four Japanese aircraft in a single day, bringing his total combat victories to five.
